Rosa multiflora
A perennial-herb Competitor with Resprout โ a thorny survivor that walls up as a native and races as an invasive.
Multiflora Rose is a perennial-herb card. Native to East Asia (Japan, Korea and eastern China), it plays a buffer; across North American pastures and roadsides, where it forms impenetrable thickets, it plays an attacker. See nativity.
Perennial-herb kit: level-1 starter, level-10 free ability, level-18 advanced attack, uncapped. Native power is baseline; invasive moves hit roughly 1.75ร harder.
Resprout โ once per battle it survives a lethal hit at ~25% HP. See abilities.
In the wild this rose is heavily armed with prickles, but the game only applies thorns-recoil if the card is flagged with the thorns trait in its infobox โ check there before relying on it. Similarly, no poison-rider unless flagged toxic. For field gear: defensive gear amplifies the native wall; offensive gear pushes the invasive spike.
Sturdy HP and level-scaling Def, light Sun, 10-Sun retreat. Native โ HP ร1.15 cushion plus bench HP overshield; invasive โ ATK spike and Faustian bench self-damage per damaging attack.
Competitor group: ร1.5 into Ruderal (annual-forb, grass, aquatic, bulb); ร0.667 into Specialist (succulent, conifer, fern, epiphyte).
Resprout plus a solid HP base makes the native form a stubborn wall, and the cheap retreat lets you rotate it to dodge Specialist counters. As an invasive it is a fine PvE attacker; if the card carries thorns, its recoil punishes attackers for free, which is a real bonus. Keep a bench ready for the Faustian chip and KO bounty.
