Field Gear

Persistent per-plant equipment bought in the store โ€” it rides with the plant into both PvE and PvP, tuning your network, climbers, growth, and amendments.

What Field Gear Is

Field Gear is permanent (or slow-decaying) equipment you attach to an individual plant, not a battle consumable. Each plant has two amendment slots. Mulch takes a slot; a Moss Pole does not. Gear now applies in both PvE and PvP โ€” the one exception is Nitrogen's coin boost, since there's no coin trickle in PvP.

Mulch

Cost 500, decays after about six months. Mulch multiplies the plant's whole network cluster by ร—1.25 โ€” both the mycorrhiza bench heal (a broadleaf-tree topping up an injured benched ally each checkup) and the network Sun overshield it projects onto your active. Best on the broadleaf-trees and conifers anchoring a bench, since those carry the network passive.

Moss Pole

Climbers only, permanent, no slot cost. A Moss Pole grants +1 growth gate and +1 bank level, letting a vine grow one band past its normal ceiling. That extra band levels at half XP pace, so it's a long-term investment. It also nudges the repot growth gate up by one.

NPK Amendments

Each amendment fills one of your two slots.

AmendmentEffect
N โ€” Nitrogenร—1.25 coins for a mycotroph (PvE only โ€” no coins in PvP)
P โ€” Phosphorusร—1.25 card XP earned
S โ€” Sulfur (1ร—)Spore and spore-drift immunity โ€” not general poison
S โ€” Sulfur (2ร—)Also severs the plant from the network
Ca-Mg+2 flat DEF and ร—1.25 Photosynthesis regen

Sulfur is the standout combat pick: at 1ร— it blocks the fern's spores (its on-KO poison) and spore-drift chip, joining warded and staked as one of the few true status immunities. It does not stop a toxic attacker's poison rider. Ca-Mg pads DEF directly and boosts sunny-arena healing.

Native vs Invasive

Field Gear itself is nativity-neutral, but which gear pays off follows a plant's role.

Best gear
Native (buffer)Mulch and Ca-Mg โ€” amplify bench heals, network overshield, and defensive regen
Invasive (attacker)Sulfur โ€” spore immunity keeps a fragile attacker from being chipped or poisoned out by ferns

Phosphorus fits any plant you're racing up the level curve. Match the amendment to the job, mind your two slots, and remember Nitrogen only earns in PvE.
